In this second book in the Tuxedo and Friends series, Tuxedo, the Boston Terrier, tells comical true stories of his pack members.  Each pup has a special story in which Tuxedo plays an important part in the moral lesson.

Excerpt: “Jackie picked up Bruno’s Frisbee and threw it hard. The wind caught it and took it out over the water. Bruno ran after it and disappeared.

“Where did he go?” Jackie said to Mom. “I don’t see him anywhere, I have to go in after him. I’m not sure he can swim.”

Jackie walked farther out as we stood and watched. Then she went underwater.

What’s going on?  They both disappeared!

I ran out and looked for them. I saw Bruno’s tail sticking out of the water a short distance away. I barked at Jackie as I swam toward the tail. She followed and disappeared under water again. When she came up, she had Bruno by the collar. He had the Frisbee in his mouth.

“I’m fine!” he barked once his head was above water.

“You had me so scared, Bruno” Jackie said as she dried him off with her towel when they got back to the blanket. “I didn’t know you couldn’t swim.”

Bruno looked at us in wonder. “I wasn’t afraid,” he said. “I was walking on the bottom of the ocean. I guess I’m too heavy to swim.”
